Winter Water Heater Disaster Prevented by Beagle

The Alert.

Away on a business trip, the client received a chilling alert on their smartphone. The smart water valve, diligently installed by Beagle, had initiated an automatic shutoff. The client hesitated but ultimately dismissed the alert as a potential false alarm.

Watchdog's Vigilance.

Beagle’s Watchdog remained on high alert, monitoring the client’s water 24/7. Watchdog contacted the client upon seeing the auto-shutoff, to which the client responded claiming it was a false alarm. Beagle was able to determine the cause was not a glitch or a false alarm. It was a real water emergency, with water leaking from the client's water heater. Thankfully, the client had earlier agreed to Beagle’s advice and let Beagle deploy water sensors inside the home to complement the automatic water shutoff valve. The client was advised to keep the valve in the closed position, until Beagle’s plumber arrived to fix the leak and restore the property’s water security.
